Ghazalian Counseling & Psychotherapy (Level 2)

This workshop is the second level of competence that followed after finishing the first level named the Essentials of Ghazalian Psychology. In this workshop, the participant will experience training in the following things: 1. Applying Ghazalian techniques related to mind, feeling, and behavioural disorders; 2. Riyadhah and measuring the client’s progress; 3. Making case management reports, and; 4. the intervention protocol. This training is in a total of 7 sessions.

 

First session: ‘Ilm and Ma’rifah (2 hours)

  • The formulation of the problem and determination of the objective of therapy.
  • Alignment of the problem with syari’attauhid, and ‘ilm an-nafs.

Second session: Taubah (2 hours)

  • Repentance in the three dimensions: the present, the future, and the past.
  • The technique of taswir wa isytas’ir and mujahadah.

Third session: Awa’iq (2 hours)

  • Managing types of ‘awaiq or cognitive distraction.
  • Stopping automatic thought through khilwah.
  • Dzikir: Frequency, breathing rhythm and heart rate variability.

Fourth session: ‘Awaridh (2 hours)

  • The adab towards problems
  • The technique of patience, ridhotawakkal and tafwidh.

Fifth session: Bawa’its (2 hours)

  • The installation of bawa’its (motivation) through khauf (fear) and raja’ (hope).
  • The technique of janahayni

Sixth session: Qawadih (2 hours)

  • The relapse management
  • The technique of muraqabah and noble character as a strength

Seventh session: Syukr wa al hamd (2 hours)

  • Re-entry
  • Action plan of syukr
